[Sapporo City] Participated in “SLUSH 2025” in Helsinki
From November 19 to 20, 2025, the City of Sapporo participated in “SLUSH 2025” held in Helsinki, Finland, to conduct international promotional activities.
SLUSH is one of the largest technology conferences in Northern Europe, attracting approximately 13,000 participants from around 100 countries worldwide, including some 6,000 startup representatives and 3,500 investors.
At the conference, the City hosted a meetup event as part of “Japan Innovation Scramble,” an initiative led by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in collaboration with local municipalities, large corporations, and startups to showcase Japan’s ecosystem.
During the event, Sapporo highlighted its initiatives aimed at establishing itself as an international financial city leveraging its GX (Green Transformation) potential.
In addition, the City engaged in discussions with various companies, government officials, and investment institutions through individual meetings utilizing SLUSH’s matchmaking platform, as well as through booth and company visits. Furthermore, numerous business exchange events were organized as SLUSH side events by ecosystem stakeholders from both Japan and Finland. The City of Sapporo collaborated with other local governments to conduct promotional activities through pitch sessions and networking opportunities at these events.
